Back Asian Paints net up 20.7 per cent

MUMBAI: Asian Paints (India) Ltd reported a 20.7 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 50.11 crore for the December 2004 quarter against Rs 41.51 crore in the year ago period.

Net sales increased by 32 per cent to Rs. 595.95 crore (Rs 451.07 crore). Net sales for the nine-month period grew by 16.6 per cent to Rs. 1545.57 crore (Rs 1325.59 crore).

Net profit for the nine months increased by 12.92 per cent to 132.38 crore.
