Back Kerala Budget on Feb 4

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Budget session of the State Assembly will get under way with the Governor's address on January 27.

Announcing this, an official spokesman said here that the Budget would be presented on February 4, much before the session concludes on April 6.

The three-day discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor's address will be held from January 31 to February 2, which will be preceded by obituary references on January 28. The three-day general discussion on the budget will be held from February 7 to 9.

The House will break for a recess from February 10 to 28 to enable the subject committees to scrutinise the demands. It will reconvene on March 1.

The discussion and voting on the demands for grants in the budget will begin on March 3 and will continue till March 29. The Appropriation Bill relating to the Budget will be passed on March 30.
