Back CII in pact with UK chamber for SMEs

THE Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has entered into an agreement with its counterpart organisation in the UK, the Southall Regeneration Partnership Ltd (SRP), in order to provide a framework to the sustainable cooperation between the small and medium enterprises (SME) business communities, informed a CII statement.

Mr Ash Verma, Chief Executive, SRP and Mr Gurpal Singh, Deputy Director General, CII, signed the MoU.

Mr Ash Verma, Chief Executive, SRP, said that considering the role that SMEs play in the two countries, the future thrust for exploring this huge trade potential has to be the SME sector.

This could be achieved through one of the key projects that SRP has embarked on — the Gateway Asia trading portal and business support services, he added.
