Back CommVault R&D centre in Hyderabad Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Jan. 24 COMMVAULT Systems, a provider of Unified Data Management solutions, has announced setting up of its R&D centre in Hyderabad, its first outside the US . The company, with $100 million in revenues, plans to invest in human capital, Indian infrastructure and is targeting the business in the region. Addressing a press conference here today, the Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of CommVault, Mr Alan G. Bunte, said that the company budgets about $12-13 million a year for R&D and this centre is of strategic importance for the company. The company plans to make one major release every year. Over next two years, CommVault plans to make Hyderabad its Asia-Pacific market hub, with the region emerging as one of the fastest growing markets. The Director, India development centre of CommVault, Mr K.V. Ratna Sarma, said, "We have big plans for India. Though we have started small with just about 8-10 developers, we will double it within this year. We will also get into tapping the domestic market once we are in a position to provide local deployment and support services."
