BANGALORE, JAN. 27. Officials of the Organised Crime Prevention Cell of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested two persons, who were allegedly involved in 29 cases of robbery reported from different parts of the city recently. The police have recovered from them several gold chains and mobile phones and three motorcycles. The names of the arrested have been given as Nasir Khan (20) of Bismillahnagar on Bannerghatta Road and Mohammed Sabir (20) of Corporation Quarters, Koramangala. The accused allegedly waylaid people returning home in the night and robbed them of gold ornaments, mobile phones and cash after threatening them with lethal weapons, the police said. In another case, the Ashoknagar police arrested Mohammed Asif alias Bihari (25) of Tannery Road who was allegedly involved in 24 cases of house break-in and theft and murder, robbery and kidnap.
