Back APERC defers public hearing

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) has deferred the public hearing scheduled to be held during January 31 and February 8.

The hearing was to be held at Warangal, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and in Hyderabad.

In a press release here, the Commission said the public hearing was postponed with the Transmission Corporation of AP (APTransco) and the four discoms (distribution companies) asking for more time. "They wanted more time in the back drop of the State Government announcing new policy with regard to supplying to power to the agricultural sector," the release said.

The Commission would announce fresh dates for the hearing later.
