Partly cloudy sky forecast
The city recorded a maximum temperature of 27.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 16.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The relative humidity was 51 per cent.
The airport recorded a maximum temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 15.8 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 47 per cent.
The forecast for Monday is: the sky will be partly cloudy. The minimum temperature will be 17 degrees Celsius.
Power shutdown
There will be no power supply at Rahath Bagh, Pal Layout, part of Uday Nagar, BC Industrial Area and surrounding areas on Monday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and also at Kuruburahalli, J.C. Nagar, J.S. Nagar, V.H.B.C Layout, Karnataka Layout, Kamalanagar, and Laggere near Ring Road between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. owing to maintenance work.
Water adalat
Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board will organise a water adalat on February 1 to redress grievances related to water billing, delay in giving water supply and sanitary connections, and delay in conversion of non-domestic into domestic connection. Grievances of customers coming under Vijayanagar 1st and 2nd Stages, Hampi Nagar, Marenahalli, Janabharathi Layout, Ideal Homes Layout, Prashanthnagar, Attiguppe, Chandra Layout, Govindarajnagar, Prashathnagar, BEML Layout and Kengari service station limits will be redressed.

Employee Assistance Cell of National Institute of Small Industry Extension Training will organise a stipend-oriented entrepreneurial development programme for employees of Hindustan Machine Tools, National Textiles Corporation, Bharat Electronics Ltd. and KIOC, who avail themselves of voluntary retirement scheme, to take up self-employment and income generation activities. Interested employees can contact the Employee Assistance Cell, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association, Vijayanagar, before January 29.
Mock exam
