Back Sierra Atlantic buys US co

SIERRA Atlantic today announced the acquisition of Sceptre, a US-based consulting company in a cash-cum-stock deal.

Addressing a press conference in its new technology centre, the Managing Director of Sierra Atlantic, Mr Sarath Sura, and its Vice-President, Mr Sanjay Khendry, said the acquisition brought in about 150 clients from the East Coast of the US, where Sierra had little presence.

On the other hand, Sceptre gets the advantages of a large offshoring base.

"With this acquisition, apart from acquiring clientele of Sceptre, we also expand the technology offerings covering manufacturing and financial services, where the latter is stronger. We also can dig deeper into their clients with our range of enterprise solutions that can be package-implemented," Mr Sura said.

Mr Sura said their new development centre has the facility to host about 800 people and plans for both organic and inorganic expansion are under way.
