TIRUPATI. Feb 3. Ex Servicemen Employment Society, Tirupati, on Wednesday questioned propriety of the TTD recruiting civilians as its security guards `violating' the Government orders which reportedly lays down that only ex-servicemen should be selected for security duties. The Society's office-bearers in a joint statement also criticised the disparity in the wages being paid to those working as private security guards and as `state security guards'. They alleged that though both of them did the same duty and the nature of work was the same, they were being paid only Rs. 2,150 as against the Rs. 5007 paid to the state security guards provided by `private security contractors'. They renewed their request to the TTD authorities to resolve the matter at the earliest
