Four robbed

HYDERABAD, FEB. 10. A businessman, O. Jaganmohan Reddy, of Siddipet lost his bag containing Rs. 3.58 lakhs while travelling in an RTC bus on Wednesday. He had boarded the bus at Jubilee Bus Station and had gone to sleep. When he woke up near Hakimpet he noticed his bag missing.

In another incident, a contractor, Salahuddin Khan, was reportedly thrashed by three persons and his cash bag containing Rs. 95,000 stolen at Malakpet on Wednesday. A native of Mumbai, he alighted from the train at Nampally railway station and engaged an auto-rickshaw to proceed to Mahatma Gandhi bus station. However, the auto driver drove him to Dilsukhnagar where two more persons joined him. Subsequently, they took to him at an isolated place thrashed him and snatched his bag. Two miscreants diverted the attention of an assistant manager of a private firm, V.V.S.N. Prabhakar, at Syndicate Bank in JSN Colony and fled with Rs. 80,000 that he had withdrawn from the bank on Wednesday. In another incident, a police constable, K. Chalapathi was relieved of his purse containing Rs. 3,700 while travelling in an RTC bus from Begumpet to Mehdipatnam on Wednesday.
