Back Infotech to hire more; plans US centre

INFOTECH Enterprises Ltd has sewn up expansion plans that would see the company recruiting about 1,000 more this year.

It also plans expansion to new overseas centres, including one in Australia, and a low-cost development centre in the US.

Addressing a press conference after commissioning its development centre here today, the Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech, Mr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, said that the company will also move over from $60 million in revenues this year to $100 million next year, which would be through a combination of organic cum inorganic growth.

The company is also exploring the possibility of establishing centres in Gurgaon and New Mumbai region.

Having acquired about 10 acres land for its tech campus from the Andhra Pradesh Government, the company plans to embark on this project later in 2006. By that time, the necessary infrastructure around the region would be ready, Mr Mohan Reddy said.

"Along with Pratt & Whitney and Bombardier, we have acquired a good number of Fortune 500 clients and their continued support would ensure growth of operations significantly," he said.
