JAMMU, FEB. 17. The secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist)'s Jammu and Kashmir unit, Mohammad Yosuf Tarigami, said today that India and Pakistan should immediately announce the opening of other roads in the State along the Line of Control. Talking to The Hindu here, Mr. Tarigami said: "We believe that the opening of the Srinagar-Muzafarrabad road would open up new opportunities and help in creating an atmosphere conducive for resolving the contentious issues, including Kashmir, between India and Pakistan. But the next step should be to open the routes like Suchetgarh-Sialkot, Nowshera-Mirpur, Rajouri-Bimber, Kargil-Skardu.We should allow the people of the same ethnic stock and language to meet each other by doing so."
