Back `India becoming favoured target for CDM projects'

INDIA is the leading country in terms of the number of projects that have been accorded the host country approval and under consideration by the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Executive Board, as per the provisions of Kyoto Protocol, the Minister of Environment and Forests, Mr A. Raja, said addressing a seminar.

At an event organised by the Ministry of Environment and Forests and Indian Carbon Market Group (ICMG) to facilitate interaction with CDM developers, Mr Raja said: "The vigorous project development activity in our country, and the proactive stand adopted by the Government, has propelled India to become the most favourable destination for CDM investments."
