THE Union Labour Minister, Mr C.S. Chandrashekhar Rao, has agreed to consider Dunlop India management's proposal to use Rs 10.7 crore which the company accrued by sale of its head office building in the city.

The money will be spent to pay out at least 10 per cent of the wage arrears and other statutory dues of the workers of Dunlop's Sahaganj factory and its head office employees.

On Tuesday, Mr Rao met the West Bengal Labour Minister, Md. Amin, and the representatives of trade unions and management and discussed ways to revive the ailing tyre company.
