Back CITU against heavy FDI Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has criticised the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government for allowing heavy foreign direct investments (FDI) in profit-making public sector undertakings. Addressing a meet on `Oppose FDI and disinvestment' here on Wednesday, Mr R. Sudhabhaskar, CITU's State Secretary, said the UPA Government had promised that it wouldn't allow disinvestment in profit-making PSUs. He also faulted the Government for inviting FDI into the insurance sector.
