HYDERABAD, FEB. 24. The Cherlapalli jail authorities on Thursday suspended two sentry constables -- Nagababu and Ramana -- and warder Balasundaram, following seizure of a mobile phone inside the jail premises on Wednesday. All the three were accused of negligence in discharge of duties. The jail authorities found a mobile at the tower no. 6 in the jail where Nagababu and Ramana were posted for guard duty. While the phone belonged to Nagababu, Ramana was accused of not properly discharging the guard duty. Balasundaram, who was on duty at the jail entrance to check the jail personnel and visitors if they carried any banned goods, was also accused of negligence in duty. (Earlier report on page 4)
