Three snatching cases
The duo approached her asking for an address and left. They later returned committed the crime near Deena Bank while the woman was returning home on foot. In a separate case, two unidentified persons snatched away a gold chain from a woman, Sugunabai, while she was sitting in her groceries store at Bandlaguda in Chandrayanagutta. The duo came on a scooter. The pillion rider asked the woman for some cigarettes. Even before she responded, he snatched her chain, ran towards his associate and both of them sped away, the Chatrinaka police said.
Impostor cheats bank
According to the complaint, Anand produced property documents of one A. Srimannarayana Murthy for collateral security. A person claiming to be Murthy signed the papers before the bank authorities while sanctioning the facility in 2001. The bank authorities, during recent inspection, found that Murthy had died in 1999 and Anand allegedly used an impostor in the place of Murthy to avail of the credit facility.
Relieved of cash
While two of them sat on the bikes, the other two snatched the bag containing cash, the Chandrayanagutta police said. The victim was a native of Ibrahimpatnam.
