Back Customs duty cut on equipment for ICD, CFS

THE Government has cut customs duty on specified machinery/equipment for use in inland container depot (ICD)/container freight station (CFS) from 20 to 10 per cent.

However, it has raised the excise duty on ships meant for breaking from 12 per cent to 16 per cent, the Finance Bill, 2005 has said.
