Back Dentist Day on Sunday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala chapter of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) will celebrate `dentist day' on March 6.

Announcing this at a press conference in the city on Thursday, Dr Alias Thomas, President of the IDA's Kerala chapter, said one of the objectives behind the celebrations is to create greater awareness about oral and dental health.

While the State-level celebrations will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, programmes to mark the occasion will also be organised in other parts of Kerala. The IDA is also organising a series of continuing dental education programmes, for its members, across the State, he added.
