Punjab Police expels Kanwalpreet

JALANDHAR, MARCH 4. Punjab Police on Friday expelled the international player Kanwalpreet from its team for next six months following a recent brawl between him and Deepak Thakur of Indian Oil during a match in Maharaja Ranjit Singh hockey tournament at New Delhi.

"Taking a disciplinary action against erring player Kanwalpreet, we have expelled him from team for next six months and he will not play for the force in any of the coming tournament during this period,'' Mr. Bhatti, additional DGP, Punjab Armed Police (PAP) said here. — PTI
