Back AP Govt to release Rs 7.5 cr to SHGs to mark Women's Day

THE Andhra Pradesh Government will be releasing Rs 7.5 crore towards income generating activities for self-help groups (SHGs) of Swayamsidha and Mother Committees as a part of the International Women's Day celebrations on Tuesday.

According to an official press release, the Government will also release two volumes of a book on "Swayam Sidha" containing social issues, hygiene and sanitation, environments, pregnancy and child birth, book keeping, accounting, income generating activities and contents of a series workshops held on women development.

The Government has also planned to undertake various other activities including organisation health camps in all districts to mark the occasion.
