Back ICFAI clarifies on Service Tax

HYDERABAD: The ICFAI has on Friday clarified that the issue of it not paying service tax did not arise, since the tax has not been made applicable to universities.

Reacting to media reports quoting the Director General, Service Taxes, which identified it among those who had not paid, an ICFAI statement said it had already submitted clarification to the Service Tax Cell of the Central Excise Department. It has, however, not heard anything from the concerned authorities.
