Back `Distrust and caution are the parents of security'

Sridevi donned a Shibu mask - the newest toy that her kid brother bought from the market - even as she flicked her PC on to chat about markets with Khan, Jogin and Dakshinamoorthy. Catch up!

Sri: This week is crucial. Sensex will cross 7K or it will

come below 6800!

Jog: Below 6800 looks more likely. :-| Mid-cap and small

cap moved sharply.

Kay: So, instead of sitting on profits, better to book some.

Samjhe!

Dax: Indices reversed direction at an important

resistance level. Outlook weak.

Jog: Nifty may find support at 2130. But it can move

against current!

Sri: Indices may move irregularly in the near term. Bulls

vs Bears, no winners.

Kay: So, watch for sharp volatility next few days. Bank

stocks should continue to remain

firm.

Jog: Especially the IPO-wallahs.

Jet Airways listing today. Likely

to open at a premium of Rs 200.

Dax: Better sell Jet and buy

Taneja Aerospace, which is

into manufacturing aircrafts.

Flying is risky!

Kay: I was thinking of moving

out of Royal Airways and getting

into Jet! Oh, Fear of Flying!

Sri: VSNL looks weak as TRAI has slashed global leased

line circuit rates. Permanent Magnet?

Jog: Like you, Sri? It gained more than 100 per cent last

one month. Buzzing on real estate circuit!

Kay: But this business is still loss. So, better avoid this

stock or sell it if you are holding it. Seven...

Dax: You mean, Suven Life Sciences? Good financials.

Active counter. Investment buy! Zensar, koi?

Sri: Yes, it recently partnered with Japan's Nomura

Research to launch migration software solution.

Kay: Helps its bottom line. Price jumped from Rs 206 to

Rs 225 on Friday. Steadily up from Rs 165!

Dax: There're showbiz software companies that have not

developed anything for over seven years!

Sri: I may put reliance on Reliance after the news of it

getting exploration rights for a block in Oman.

Jog: Tea and textile, you can tee off! Watch also Premier

Auto, Shriram Transport and Shriram Investments. Plus,

Punjab Alkalies and Prakash Industries. Ballarpur Ind

showing bullishness.

Kay: Thirumalai Chemicals, solid performance last

quarter but failed to get attraction. What's 1+1?

Sri: You know ITI? Hails from Nehru's days. Got a recast

package. Stock is nudging past Rs 33.

Jog: After being in the Rs 24-28 range for long! A Thai

company is placing orders on ITI. Cool!

Dax: Oil Country Tubular is suddenly up. Accumulated in

sub-Rs 27 region. IDBI has 11% stake.

Kay: Electrosteel Castings capital base increasing? Like

steel, don't lose your temper! I know a doc...

Jog: The one who suffered a heart attack mistaking the

ECG for share price graph? How sad!

Sri: I recommend we give a disclaimer that we don't claim

to be giving recommendations.

Dax: More money has been lost by reaching for higher

yield than at gunpoint. Boom!

Jog: "A certain naïveté, unburdened by conventional

wisdom, can sometimes be a positive asset."

Kay: That's Harish-Chandra! "Distrust and caution are

the parents of security," said Ben Franklin.

Sri: "Action makes more fortune than caution," as

Charlotte Whitton cautioned. Yet, take care! :-)
