Back UNIBIC gesture to war widows Our Bureau
Hyderabad , March 16 CONTINUING its wartime legacy in Australia, UNIBIC Biscuits India Pvt Ltd, an arm of the Australian biscuit company UNIBIC, has decided to set apart 3 per cent of ANZAC cookies sales turnover on limb replacements and welfare of jawans. The company would train war widows to help them stand on their own. "We have plans to organise 3,000 limb replacements and train 5,000 war widows to provide employment opportunities," Mr D.D. Saxena, Managing Director of UNIBIC India, said. Mr Saxena was here to launch ANZAC and Bradman cookies in the Andhra Pradesh market.
