Back BSNL staff stage hunger strike in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Executives of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) concluded a three-day relay hunger in front of the office of the Chief General Manager here that was taken out from Tuesday last.

The strikers have been demanding implementation of a time-bound promotion policy in the company. Gathered under the banner of United Forum of BSNL employees, they said that a time-bound policy for promotion was agreed on at the time of the formation of the company.

The forum represents the comity of telecom engineers, civil/electrical engineers and accounts officers.
