Sun pitches for DTH

NEW DELHI, MARCH 24. Joining Zee and the Tata-Star combine, Kalanidhi Maran's Sun Group has applied for a direct-to-home (DTH) license to claim a stake in the country's future media market. Government sources told UNI today that the application from the Chennai-based Sun Network, submitted in October last, was under consideration.

At present, besides the Prasar Bharati launched service, the sole runner in the field is Subhash Chandra's Dish TV. — UNI
