VISAKHAPATNAM, MARCH 30. Two French naval ships - FNS Marne and FNS Floreal - under the command of the Flag Officer Commanding French Naval forces in Indian Ocean, Xavier Rolin, arrived on a three-day visit to the Naval Base here on Wednesday. The warships were received at the port berth by the officers of the Eastern Naval Command. On arrival at the Naval Base, Vice Admiral Rolin was given a ceremonial welcome. He took salute at the 50-man guard of honour parade. Later, he called on the ENC officiating Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, R.P. Suthan. Apart from visiting places of interest in and around Visakhapatnam during their stay, the French Naval personnel would play friendly football and cricket matches with their ENC counterparts.
