Needs financial help

The entrance to the temple being spruced up

TRIPURASUNDARI SAMEDHA Tirukandiswarar temple in Chakramallur village of Arcot taluk desperately needs financial aid.

Situated in the Kshadaranya region (six forests where six sages did penance) on the northern side of River Palar, the temple until recently was inaccessible on account of the overgrowth of thorns and bushes obstructing entry.

Both Madar Iraipani Manram and Sri Pradosha Vazhipattu Group took up the task of sprucing up the temple passages, prakarams and the vimanams.

Thorny bushes being cleared around the prakaram of Sri Tripurasundari samedha Tirukandiswarar temple, Chakramallur village, Vellore.

Thanks to the efforts and financial help of local philanthropists, the Moolavar gopuram, Ambal gopuram and Nandhi gopuram have been reconstructed and renovated.

The NSS units of C. Abdul Hakeem College, Melvisharam, have cleared the bushes around the prakarams forming a negotiable strip of road around the temple.

The thorny bushes obstructing entry through the main entrance have also been removed by the NSS volunteers during the special camp at this village.

The volunteers have white-washed the temple walls both inside and outside.

But more work has to be done. The entire floor area within the temple needs to be re-laid.

Once this is done kumbabhishekam can be performed. Dearth of funds has also delayed painting.

Donations can be sent to Vasantha Ammal and Parvathavardini Ammal of Tripurasundari samedha Tirukandiswarar temple, Chakramallur village, Arcot Taluk, Vellore district.
