HYDERABAD, MARCH 31. The Andhra Pradesh State Kapunadu is planning to intensify its agitation in pursuance of its demands, by holding protests outside all Mandal Revenue Offices in each of the 13 districts of coastal and Rayalaseema regions in the State. At a press conference here on Thursday, the Kapunadu president, P. Venkateswar Rao, said their primary demand was inclusion of Telaga, Balija and Kapus (different names of the same community in the three regions of Andhra Pradesh) into the Backward Classes list and the attendant benefits. He said that when the Legislative Council finally takes shape, he wanted one member from each district from their community, at least two Vice-Chancellors, a member in the Public Service Commission, membership in governing bodies and advisory committees of Government hospitals as well as on the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams Board.
