HYDERABAD, MARCH 31. The police on Thursday said the skeletal remains found inside a building sump in Chikkadpally yesterday could be that of murder victim. Bloodstains on the victim's shirt and skull strengthened the suspicion, the Central Zone DCP, B. Srinivasulu, said. The fact that the sump had been sealed with concrete confirmed that the culprits tried to conceal the offence. "However, we have registered a case of suspicious death and will alter the provisions after receiving forensic doctors' opinion," he said. An empty box of tape, a screwdriver, a pen and a comb were found beside the body. The tape and screwdriver suggests that the victim could be an electrician, the Chikkadpally Inspector, V.N.V. Satyanarayana, said. Meanwhile, forensic doctors from Gandhi Hospital conducted the post-mortem on the skeletal remains and samples were sent to the lab for analysis. They believe the victim must have been in his early 20s and of medium built and must have died at least a year ago.
