Back Dumping probe on filament yarns from China, Ukraine Our Bureau
New Delhi , April 13 THE Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry has initiated anti-dumping investigation into the import of viscose filament yarn (VFY) originating in or exported from China and Ukraine. In a notification issued here, the Authority said that the Association of Man Made Fibre Industry of India through its members NRC Ltd, Kesoram Industries and Indian Rayon and Industries has filed a written petition, alleging dumping of the subject goods from China and Ukraine. It said the product under probe is viscose rayon filament yarn up to 150 deniers (and plus/minus four per cent permissible variation thereof), other than sewing thread, including monofilament of less than 67 decitex also known as viscose filament yarn. The Authority said there is prima facie evidence that the normal value of the subject goods in the subject countries is higher than the ex-factory export price, indicating that the goods are being dumped by exporters from China and Ukraine. The petitioners further furnished details on various parameters relating to material injury and threat of material injury to the domestic industry.
