BSNL sweats it out

UDHAGAMANDALAM: Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Chennai, was forced to sweat on its way to a 74-64 win over local hopes JBC in the second round league encounter of the M. Gopalakrishnan Memorial State level basketball tournament organised by the Nilgiris District Basketball Association at the HADP Open Air Stadium courts here on Friday.

Earlier, favourite Indian Bank (Chennai) scored its successive win defeating Tirupur Basketball Club 86-49.

On the distaff side, Rising Star (Chennai), thanks to useful contributions from Deepa (11 pts) and Lakshmi Devi (10 pts) got the better of Holy Angels (Salem) 49-23.
