Nod for Sterlite

NEW DELHI: Sterlite Industries India has received permission to operate the expanded copper smelter plant at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu.

The new smelter facility, expected to commence operation shortly, would increase production of copper cathode from 1.80 lakh tonnes to three lakh tonnes annually, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
