Inflation rises to 5.48 p.c.

NEW DELHI: The annual rate of inflation rose to 5.48 per cent for the week ended April 9, up from the previous week's 5.26 per cent due to higher food and fuel prices. The inflation rate was 4.57 per cent during the corresponding week of the previous year. The wholesale price index for all commodities for the week rose to 190.7 from 190.2 in the previous week.
