YSR operates poclain

URAVAKONDA (ANANTAPUR DT.): Dr. Reddy operated a poclain to mark of launch of the work of Stage-I of Handri Neeva project after performing the `bhoomi pooja.'

He unveiled a new pylon that was built on the side of the pylon unveiled by Mr. Naidu in 1996. After unveiling the pylon, Dr. Reddy went to the old pylon and read out the entire inscription on the plaque.

At the public meeting the Chief Minister tried to woo women by assuring them of increasing financial assistance to SHGs to Rs. 2 crores in every mandal from next year. He also hoped to meet them two years later at the same venue after giving water to the fields belonging to some of them.
