Cipla net profit up 38 per cent

MUMBAI: Cipla has registered an increase of 38 per cent in its net profit at Rs. 406.38 crores for the fiscal ended March 31, 2005 against Rs. 295.59 crores in the previous fiscal. Total income for the reporting fiscal rose to Rs. 2,317.86 crores from Rs. 1958.59 crores in 2003-04, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 rose to Rs. 105.58 crores from Rs. 101.74 crores in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal. Total income declined to Rs. 550.43 crores from Rs. 580.49 crores.
