GUNTUR: The Telugu Desam Party will launch a State-wide agitation programme to seek minimum support price for all crops including chillies, the party official representative, Nannapaneni Rajakumari, said here on Tuesday. Ms. Rajakumari, who was on an indefinite fast seeking Rs.3,000 per quintal for chilli through the Andhra Pradesh Markfed, was arrested by the local police at half-past midnight and was given saline on Tuesday at the Government General Hospital here. "I will not resume the fast as this will be the fate every time, so I propose to choose the mandals that produce maximum amount of chillies in the district and organise public meetings there everyday," she announced.
