Back Water levels decline in Kerala reservoirs Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water levels at the three major reservoirs Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada have recorded a decline compared to the readings made a week ago. According to an official spokesman, the level declined from 2322.60 ft to 232.07 ft at Idukki; 450.46 ft to 447.21 ft at Idamalayar and 320.37 ft to 317.52 ft at Kallada. However, year-on-year readings revealed that the levels are, in fact, up in two reservoirs. It was up by 7.41 ft at Idukki and 6.59 ft at Idamalayar. Kallada recorded a decline of 2.85 ft in year-on-year levels, the spokesman added.
