Back `Use green tech to cut cost' Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: Mr B. Mazumdar, Director-General of Works, Central Public Works Department, has asked the industry to focus on research and development and improve the quality of electronic chokes. Addressing the inaugural of the two-day Green Lighting-2005 at the CII-Sohrabji Green Business Centre here on Thursday, he said green technologies would help cut costs by 30-35 per cent. He stressed the need to improve the life expectancy of the compact fluorescent lamps. Mr Bharat Lal Meena, Chairman of the conference, underscored the need to encourage renewable energy sources for lighting applications.
