Science & theism

This refers to the article, `Religions as works of art,' (May 3). Science seeks to explain the occurrence of such phenomena as motion of bodies and the flow of current through a metal wire. The phenomena within the mind such as the birth of emotions like love, hatred and jealousy are to be understood through religion. Science and religion do intermingle, but this can happen in a way where neither contradicts or opposes the other. Theism is not an enemy to science. In fact, it is one of the two ways in which science can be studied. The other being atheism.
