Hospital workers' meet tomorrow

ALAPPUZHA: The 35th State conference of Government Hospital Workers' Union will be held at E.K. Nayanar Nagar (Government Girls' High School Auditorium) here on May 6 to May 8.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, the union secretary, K. Krishnan Kutty, said the conference would begin at 2.30 p.m. on May 6, with a meeting of the State council.

The CITU leader E. Balanandan will inaugurate the delegates' meeting at 10 a.m. on May 7. The union State president, T. Sebastian, will preside.

A trade union meeting will be held at 3 p.m. on the day. The CITU State general secretary, P.K. Gurudasan, will inaugurate the meeting. Leaders of trade unions in various institutions in the State will offer felicitations.

A health seminar will be held at 11 a.m. on May 8. K.S. Manoj, MP, will inaugurate the seminar. The Deputy Superintendent of Alappuzha Medical College, B. Padmakumar, will preside.

The MLA T.M. Thomas Issac will present a paper on `Health Sector and ADB.'
