TDP is not NDA partner, says Indrasena

HYDERABAD: The BJP president, N. Indrasena Reddy, has said the Telugu Desam Party decision to end the boycott of Parliament is its own decision and clarified that it is not an NDA partner.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Mr. Indrasena Reddy, referring to the TDP decision to attend the Lok Sabha session, said that the latter had only extended external support. It had every right to take decisions which it felt were right.

The TDP had differed with the NDA's stand on many issues in the past. It had found fault with the Gujarat carnage in the wake of the Godhra incident and even demanded the dismissal of Narendra Modi. Similarly, it had disagreed with the BJP on the question of quota for Muslims.

Mr. Reddy wondered under what circumstances the TDP president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, had praised the economic policies of the Left parties.
