BELLARY: People in and around Bellary are in for a treat by a host of well-known humorists, including "Master" Hirannaiah, at the "Nage Habba" to be held at Brilliant Public School on Sirguppa Road here on May 15. Babu Hirannaiah, M. Krishnegowda, Sudha Bargur, Richard Louis, B. Pranesh (popularly known as "Gangavati Bechi"), Mysore Anand, Dayanand, Manjunath Hiremath and Satish Sringeri are among the other humorists who will enthral the audience for eight hours. In addition, the "Gana Vinodini" troupe will stage a comedy, Sri Krishna Sandhana, and also render songs. Chooti Anand will recite some of his chutuku (limericks). Nage habba, which is being sponsored by Brilliant Public School to mark its inauguration, is being organised for the first time in Bellary city, according to the organisers Lepakshi, Basant Kumar and Chandrashekar. They said 45 minutes have been allotted to each humorist to enthral the audience. The programme commences at 1.30 p.m. Stalls vending the delicious "mandakki voggarane, mirchi bajji," tea and cool drinks will also be put up. The Minister for Revenue, M.P. Prakash, is expected to inaugurate the school at 10.00 a.m. The Minister for Sugar, Amaregowda Bayyapur, will preside over the function.
