BenQ to set up R&D centre

MUMBAI: Taiwanese IT company, BenQ Corporation, plans to set up a research and development centre here for designing software programmes for mobile phones. According to the Chairman and CEO, K. Y. Lee, the company had invested over $150 million in research and development centre in calendar 2004. The company will increase the headcount of software professionals in the coming years.
