Impressive win for Vijaya Bank

BANGALORE: Vijaya Bank posted an impressive 69-49 victory against a dogged ASC in the first semi final league encounter in the Bharath SPorts Union-conducted State-level invitation basketball tournament for the Tulsyan Cup at the their Malleswaram courts here on Thursday. The winner led 34-26 at half-time.

Semifinal league: Vijaya Bank 59 (Murli Mohan 16, Srinivasa Gowda 12, Rony 12) bt ASC 49 (Prasad 19, Jayaranjan 10); (Ht: 34-26).

MEG 77 (Prashanth 18, Sweeto Francis 17, Manoj M 11) bt HAL SC 70 (Sanjay Raj 20, Sachindra 12, Sriram 11); (Ht: 37-34).

Wednesday's scores: Quarterfinals: ASC 56 (Jayaranjan 15, Prasad 14, Gautham 10) bt KSP 59 (Sanath 12, Lokesh 11)(Ht: 36-21); HAL 68 (Sachindra 16, Rajkumar 12, Umashankar 11) bt NAL.
