S. Railway in semifinals

RAJAPALAYAM: Southern Railway, Chennai beat K.S.E.B. Thiruvananthapuram 64-36 for its second win in the women's three-team Pool B league and qualified for the semifinals in the Ramco-Rajapalayam City Basketball Association golden Jubilee all-India basketball tournament here on Thursday.

The results: Pool B league: Southern Railway 64 (Ranjini Peter 24, Meena Latha 20) bt KSEB, Thiruvananthapuram 36 (Lajitha 11).

Pool A: Central Railway, Mumbai 63 (S.Indu 19, Rigi Sunny 17) bt Rising Star B.C. Chennai 40 (Lakshmi Devi 19, Deepa 11). Non (Quarter finals): Indian army 65 (Phool Singh17, Vijaya Kumar 15, Satheeshkumar 11) bt Indian Navy, Lonavala, Maharashtra 53 (A.P.Singh 13, A.A.Massi 10); Signals, Delhi 74 (Vinay Dadwal 14, Jairam Jit 14, Jawant Singh 14) bt A.O.C.
