VISAKHAPATNAM: Several small and medium information technology enterprises (SMEs) are expected to come up at the IT Hub at Rushikonda, for which the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, laid the foundation-stone on Wednesday. To begin with, 20 companies are likely to set up shop at the hub with a total investment of Rs.350 crores providing 8,000 jobs. ``The Visakhaptnam IT Association (VITA) sees the hub as the fruition of eight years of persuasion and effort,'' its president, B. Prabhakara Rao, and the Miracle Software Systems' president and CEO, Prasad V. Lokam, told mediapersons on Thursday. He said: ``The arrival of IT majors will bring brand awareness and put Visakhapatnam on the IT map.
