Entrance test for M.Sc. Nursing

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences is conducting the Postgraduate Entrance Test on June 6 in Bangalore for 2005-06 for admissions to government seats in government and private colleges for M.Sc. (Nursing), M. Pharm, MPT, MD/MS Ayurveda and MD in Homeopathy. Eligible candidates who want to appear for the test may download the application form and brochure from www.rguhs.ac.in

Power cut

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company has said that there will be no power supply in some areas on Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. because of work in E-8 sub-division. The areas are B. Channasandra, OMBR Layout, H.R.Mill, Vijaya Bank Colony, Dodda Banaswadi, Ex-servicemen Colony, R.M. Nagar Main Road, Pilla Reddy Nagar, East of NGEF and surrounding areas.

Veda Patashala

The Magadi Karnik Vaidika Dharma Patashala located at No 68, Vanivilas Road, Basavanagudi, is offering free Vedic education for Brahmin boys aged below 14 in Rig Veda and Yajurveda. The students will be given free food and accommodation for five years. Applications cab be sent to the Patashala before May 19.

Blood donation

A voluntary blood donation camp will be held on Sunday jointly by the Lions Club of Bangalore-Greater Jnanabharati and Subash Bharani Pratishtana. The venue will be No. 1665, 9th Main, Viajayanagar.

IETE course

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Bangalore Centre, will conduct short-term courses in Embedded Processor Architecture, VX Works, VLSI design, SPICE Coding, Computer Networks and DSP, on Sundays from June 5. For details, call 23331133.
