U.N. seat

This refers to India's quest for permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council. It is a shame that this has not occurred so far.

We have one billion people, which is more than the combined population of four of the Council's members (other than China). We have sent our troops on peacekeeping missions all over the world and we are still treated in this fashion.
