Free pain clinic at Global

HYDERABAD: The Global Hospitals will run a free pain clinic at its Lifestyle Clinic, Lakdikapul, from May 16.

The six-day clinic would be run by consultant N.Dashrathram Reddy who has 20 years of experience in pain management in the US. The timings of the clinic would be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Dr.Reddy said that pain management in the US was treated as a super speciality with a multi-disciplinary approach. One in every four persons suffered from some pain or the other and 80 per cent of pain cases were related to the head, neck and the back, he said.

Pain management called for team work by specialists in orthopaedics, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, anaesthesiology, gastroenterology, general surgery and psychiatry.
